Update to the 2014 prize list.

Afternoon all, today we have a bit of sad news followed up quickly by some good news.

Yesterday I had a long conversation with Dan at Alive Music. This past 12 months has been tough for a lot of businesses, including the Alive Music recording studio. For reasons beyond his control he has had to close the studio and withdraw his prize from our event.

Dan emailed me with the following, "It is with much regret after a good long run providing a recording package prize for the Okehampton BOTB, that we must withdraw this offer. The reason for this, is that funding of the main Alive Music studios is no longer available, therefore causing us to have to close down the recording studios facility and community project. Alive Music is continuing in its old format (2005-2008), helping local music, providing managed PA hire, stage and artist management, vocal coaching. We are still Alive in Music as always, doing our bit for the local music scene, as we have always done. We thank everybody for your support of Alive Music and wish you all success and happiness in everything you do in music."

I am sure that you all wish Alive Music the very best for the future and The Okehampton Battle of the Bands is very grateful for the that Dan and the team have given to us over the last few years.

BUT, the good news is that the team at Bow Software in Okehampton have offered up a fantastic prize, for one very lucky winner.
